1000, 1250 or 1500 sq ft: How to Choose the Right Plot Size

17 September 2026·Buying Guides

Buying a plot gives you something a ready home cannot: the freedom to design exactly the house your family needs. The first decision is the size of the plot. At Siddhi Olympia you can choose 1000, 1250 or 1500 sq ft, and each suits a different stage of life.

Start with how you will live

Before looking at prices, write down who will live in the home over the next ten years. Will parents move in? Do you want a home office, a guest room, a terrace garden or space for two cars? The answers tell you how much built-up area you need — and that decides the plot size.

The three sizes compared

Plot sizeBest forWhy choose it
1000 sq ftNuclear families, first-time plot buyersLower entry cost, efficient to build, full access to community amenities
1250 sq ftGrowing familiesMore flexibility in planning, better privacy, room for an extra bedroom or larger living area
1500 sq ftLarge families, signature homes, long-term holdersExpansive layouts, multiple design options, premium and corner plots as available

Questions to ask before you choose

1. What can I build on it?

The permitted built-up area depends on the approved layout and local building rules, including setbacks and floor-area limits. Ask for these figures in writing and share them with your architect before booking.

2. Which way does it face?

Orientation affects light, ventilation and, for many families, Vastu. Plots at Siddhi Olympia are laid out on an east–west orientation, which helps with natural light and airflow.

3. Is it a corner or park-facing plot?

Corner and park-facing plots offer more light and openness, and usually carry a premium. Decide whether that is worth it for you.

4. What is already built around it?

A plot in a community with roads, utilities, gardens and security in place is easier to build on and more pleasant to live in. Visit the site and see what is ready today.

Our simple rule of thumb

Choose the smallest plot that comfortably fits the home you need in ten years, then decide whether a larger or corner plot is worth the extra for comfort or long-term value.
